BalasHapusOur main topic at this time is about Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). As we know that communication takes place through variations in the following elements: timing (synchronous and asynchronous), number of patterning of participants (one to one, one to many, or many to many), and medium (text, voice or video). Our main focus for this time is about the medium.
In http://www.eslcafe.com/, there are some menus provided. One of the menu is namely "Staff for students" and after that there will be a sub-menu. One of the sub-menu given is "Students forum" in which we can experience Text-Based CMC with many people all over the world about many topics related to English Language Learning.
In http://audacity.sourceforge.net/, you can download the Audacity software. The software can be used to record a live audio, converts tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs, edit soud files, cut, copy, splice sounds together, change the speed or pitch of a recording. You may use this software to experience asynchronous audio discussion in a website like http://www.vaestro.com/ after recording your voice with Audacity.
Lastly in http://www.youtube.com/, you can also experience asyncronous video there.The potentioal of language learning is strong, both of because of the psycho-social motivation visual representations can provide and the ability to view facial expression, gesture and lip shape and synchronization to aid in both comprehension and pronunciation development.

ya.. it's truly right.. in this web, especially on the "stuff for the students" menu, we (as a students) can learn many things. After learn some idioms or some phrasal verbs, you can evaluate yourself whether you understood or not.

Idiom will be very important to make a varied sentence. Dave Sperling provides idiom toward the reader. But as a non native speaker, it will be difficult for me to understand the true meaning of the idioms. When I access the site, I got an easier way to understand the idioms well.

That’s a great explanation. I think those link are good. The first link http://www.eslcafe.com/ is very useful for teacher and student. It is a good sites for students who wants to study more about English and for teachers, some of the content of teacher stuffs will be useful for them in teaching English.
For the second link, I can’t give any comment before I using it. So, I hope you can give us more explanation about how to use it. Honestly, I am confused whether this software is used by online or not.
The last link http://www.youtube.com/, I think it’s not a new link for us. I myself often access this link, but it’s just for entertainment not for learning (education) hehehe ^_^. After reading your explanation about this website, I think it’s better for me to consider using it for Edutainment (Education and Entertainment).

it's nice explanation. generally, those are great sites as education medium special for english learning by online. nevertheless, I am very interested for the first link (http://www.eslcafe.com) because it is easier to use and contains about education totally. in this site give us many menu that can help us in learning process.especially, i really like stuff for teacher and students menu. stuff for teachers contains submenu that help us in teaching process such us methode and materials. the next, stuff for students contains many materials such us idiom, slang, phrasal verbs, pronounciation etc.and this site make available chat central between ESL teacher and student. Besides, this site also give the information of jobs from some countries arround the world, especially in teaching, either as a teacher, instructor and lecture.the jobs are up to date and today, i find one jobs information from indonesia. let's check it,it can't be denied that we can try and find to get job through this site.
